I was reading a few words by our founding fathers on the subject of debt. Books written by W. Cleon Skousen.
"Think what you do when you run in debt; you give to another the power over your liberty." -- Benjamin Franklin
The English author William Makepeace Thackeray reflected those feelings when he wrote these words in Vanity Fair: "How well those live who are comfortably and thoroughly in debt: how they deny themselves nothing; how jolly and easy they are in their minds." Vanity Fair, 2 vols. in 1, Thomas Y. Crowell Company, New York, 1893, 1:208.
"...poverty often deprives a man of all spirit and virtue: 'Tis hard for an empty bag to stand upright".

Ron Paul
People refer to Ron Paul as an underdog to be president of the United States. But he's not an underdog for the reasons they imply. I don't understand why people are so ignorant and negative. Unquestionably he is the most qualified of any other person to head this country. It's almost like the naysayers accept the fact that we are headed on a crash course for hell. This guy is different than any other candidate to have ever run for office, at least since the founding fathers. His voice is strong and his voting record proves it. He holds strong to the constitution and never waveres. Atypical compared the the ding dong sell outs that comprise 99% of the house.
You know, I have to admit I have been pretty ignorant about politics. It always brings with it it's stigma of lies and deceit. I can see that same apathy in others too, I guess I was lucky enough to catch the fire recently. But there are a few points that I would like to address. First, it seems more often than not everyone I talk to, really enjoys the principles Dr. Paul speak about. In fact, they feel the liberty that resonates through his message. Here is the mysterious thing. They say something in effect. "I wouldn't vote for him because it would steal a vote from "Mcdirty" and elect a democrat." I've heard some pretty intelligent people say this. I have to say that those same people just exhibited a high degree of ignorance and a lack of intergrity! If everyone of those people would follow their first inclination and advocate the great doctor (Ron Paul) then truly the voice of the people could take the underdog and and place him at the pinnacle of the spotlight. I once heard a statistic that 60% of "the people" were not happy with their choice of presidential candidates. humm. Probably because they are both retards!
Just to give you an idea, I'm reading Ron Paul's book entitled "A Foreign Policy of Freedom". I had no clue that our own government causes more problems in the world than all of the other 189 nations combined! That statement is my own opinion from what I've read in the first 14 pages of his book. It is however, transparent that the voice of the people has not been the guiding light for a long time now. What was a once established repulic has turned into a country ran democracy in the house of represenatives. Pathetic and sad. The founders I'm sure are in awe of what happened to their framework they took so long to structure. There is no question that evil men are at the helm now.

Discounts/Officer Discretion
Discounts and officer discretion are two things we will encounter at some point in our lives. Depending on how much money we have to spend, or how fast we drive. Human discretion is a crock. Humans are prone to be persuaded. Humans are imperfect. There should be one price on merchandise and no one should be able to get out of a ticket. Ponder on it for a minute. I walk into an audio store and pay 700.00 for an amplifier. The very next day a smart man sends his gorgeous wife into the same store. The salesman persuaded by her looks wants to spend as much time with her as he can so he ends up selling the very same receiver just above cost. If you don't get the point by now..here is another one for you. I'm driving down the street and approach a four-way stop. Not coming to a complete stop I check my 12,3, and then 9. Rolling though slowly deeming it safe to move through. An observing officer pulls me over and tickets me for not coming to a complete stop. Next we switch to a beautiful woman same set of circumstances doesn't receive a ticket but a simple warning to be more careful next time. I believe that this is a heavy injustice! How many times does it happen is one question, but how many times has it happened to you is the most important question. My opinion on the whole thing is bureaucratic. There should be no room left for human judgement, because it is unjust. There should be one price to pay everywhere we go no matter who it is. Furthermore there should be just as many tickets stroked on the ugly that there is on the beautiful. I'm out.

Oh, So True
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."

The most formidable enemy lies within oneself.
The only thing in the balance is the fight within oneself. The battle is ongoing, but there will be a final strike given. A victor crowned. The champion left standing is the one you chose to train.

How Good Are You, Really?
I am always amazed at the attention quarterbacks get. If you think about there is talent involved, no question about it. However, most people can throw a ball and read a defense. But the real talent in my opinion is the offenseive line. Their ability to shift and work protect their QB. The real highlight should be on them. If I were a QB I would do nothing but talk my line up. I would constantly be pushing them and praising them in public. They would know that I wouldn't be able to function without them. I will list only two diametric examples:
1) Rumor has it, (it may not be true) that Troy Aikman bought his Offensive Line some high dollar gifts to thank them for a great season. This is a small act that drives respect from people.
2) Ask my little brother sometime on how his state champion offensive line treated their quarterback when he refered to his offensive line as “A bunch of fat a$$e$ that can’t block worth sh!#.” That would be an act that drives malice and disrespect. For some reason I wouldn't be motivated to protect such a person. There would be no loyalty, no glory in any victory.
